A House Purification Ritual is a ritual that can be done to try and rid a home of a Poltergeist (i.e. destroy the Poltergeist).
This ritual requires several ingredients:
1 oz. Angelica root
3 oz. Van Van oil
1 Handful of Crossroad dirt
1 Cedar smudge stick (If cut, at least 2 oz.)
1 Sage smudge stick (If cut, at least 2 oz.)
1 Sweetgrass smudge stick (If cut, at least 2 oz.)
(Combination smudge sticks that contain Sage, Sweetgrass and/or Cedar can be used in place of individual ingredients. The importance is that the ingredients are in there, in the minimum quantities.)
The first three ingredients must be added to a jar and mixed (Angelica root, Van Van oil and Crossroad Dirt). The smudge stick(s) are usually placed in the middle and embedded in the previous mixture. Then one jar is placed at each corner of the home (East, West, North and South). The container is then lit on fire and allowed to burn, allowing the smokey mixture to fill the room, and house.
It is notable that Poltergeists will most likely be aware of this ritual and would try to prevent its completion by attacking those who are performing the ritual.
